Jorge Lorenzo Guerrero was born in Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands in 1987 and is a former Spanish motorcycling driver. He was two-time 250cc world champion in 2006 and 2007, three-time MotoGP world champion in 2010, 2012 and 2015, and three times runner-up in 2009, 2011 and 2013. In the premier class he obtained a total of 47 victories, 114 podiums, 42 pole positions position and 30 fastest laps.

He has competed in the top category with the three great motorcycle teams of his time: Movistar Yamaha MotoGP from 2008 to 2016, Ducati from 2017 to 2018, and Repsol Honda in 2019.

On November 14, 2019, at a press conference at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, after a difficult season, he decided to announce his retirement as an active driver.

In 2020 he participated in the first season of the television show Mask Singer playing the Raven, where he came in fourth place. In 2022 he is hired by DAZN as a commentator for the broadcasts of the MotoGP World Championship for Spain.

In the 2023 season he will not race because he retired from Moto GP.
