Brad Binder was born in Potchefstroom in 1995 and is a South African motorcycle racer who competes in the Motorcycle World Championship in the MotoGP category with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team.

His younger brother, Darryn, is also a rider in the minor division of the World Motorcycle Championship.

He began his career in karting in 2003. In 2005 he moved to two wheels, immediately winning several titles in the 50, 125 and 150cc categories. In 2008 he made his international debut, competing in the Aprilia Superteens Series, a British competition. In the first race he finished in second place, but in the second race he fell. In 2009 he competed in the Red Bull Rookies Cup finishing 14th, in 2010 he finished 5th and in 2011 7th.
On July 10, 2019, KTM officially announced that Binder would move up with them to MotoGP in 2020 at their satellite team Red Bull KTM Tech 3.
In the 2020 season he achieved a victory and in turn got on the podium in Brno.
In the 2021 season he once again has a victory and in parallel gets on the podium on August 15 at the Austrian GP.

In the 2023 season he races with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Moto GP team.
