Alejandro Rins Navarro was born in Barcelona in 1995 and is a Spanish motorcycling pilot. He has competed in the MotoGP World Championship since 2017. After five seasons with Team Suzuki Ecstar, in 2023 he races for LCR Honda. He has been runner-up in the world twice, in Moto3 in 2013 and Moto2 in 2015. In addition, he obtained third place in MotoGP in 2020.

Alex Rins started driving when he was just six years old. At just 7 he made his first official race with a motorcycle in the regional championship of Catalonia. He competed in Supermotard in 50cc, 65cc, 70cc and 85cc before winning the 70cc MiniGP de Catalunya title. He then went on to compete in the Catalan Pre125GP championship, which he won, and in the European 125cc GP Championship, which he finished in 3rd position. Rins' next step was the CEV Buckler. The Barcelonan entered the Spanish contest in the 125GP category in 2010 with Monlau Competición, on an Aprilia RS, and finished third overall. The following year he won the 125cc title for the CatalunyaCaixa Repsol team and was second in the 125cc European Championship.

In the 2023 season he runs with the LCR Team Honda Moto GP team.
